Still Trying to Understand Afghanistan

Almost a year later, I'm still struggling with the trip to Kabul last March with Global Exchange. I think it's because the culture is unlike anything I've ever experienced or comprehend. A member of the editorial board for a Tallahassee-area paper called the "Apalachee Tortoise" had contacted me last month. She found me via my primary blog and asked if I would contribute something about the trip. Writing the article (you can view the text here )was therapeutic.
